SMRF VIP EXPERIENCE
The St. Michaels Running Festival presented by Brooks offers one of the most scenic post-race parties in the country, and for those looking for an extra special experience, we've created a package that allows you to enjoy some amazing perks after the race. The VIP Experience includes:

Special enclosed VIP area at the post-race party at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum
Exclusive access to the 1879 Hooper Strait Lighthouse with elevated coastal views at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

The SMRF VIP Experience is $81.50 per person and is limited to 75 spots. Entry to the half marathon, 10K, or 5K races is not included in the cost of the SMRF VIP Experience. Don’t miss your chance to cap off your race with this unique St. Michaels experience!
If you are already registered and you would like to upgrade to the "SMRF VIP EXPERIENCE," follow the directions below:
Head to your RunSignup profile page.
Find the "St. Michaels Running Festival" under your list of Upcoming Events and click "Manage Registration" from the menu to the right.
Click on "ADD-ONS" from the top menu.
Select "Yes" under SMRF VIP EXPERIENCE.
Scroll down and click "Continue".
Complete the checkout process and you're all set!
BIB MAILING OPTION
If you are participating in the in-person race and can not make it to the race expo, or if you simply prefer having the convenience, you may choose to have your race bib and shirt mailed to you for an extra fee. The bib mailing option will close on April 27th at 11:59 pm.
Virtual participants will have their race packet mailed to them automatically at no additional charge.
Please note: If you select the bib mailing option you cannot defer your entry to the following year after the bib mailing cutoff date of April 27th.
BEER BRACELET
Each registrant in the half marathon, 10K, and 5K who is 21+ receives one complimentary beer at the post-race party. We also offer a beer bracelet as an add-on during registration which entitles the wearer to “unlimited” alcoholic drinks at the post-race party. The bracelet costs $28.50 when purchased online or at any packet-pickup, or $30 on race day. Bracelets are non-transferable, and SMRF reserves the right to deny service to anyone who appears intoxicated or cannot produce photo ID when requested.
REFUND, DEFERRAL, TRANSFER, AND CANCELLATION POLICIES
We want to be completely transparent with our policies regarding refunds, deferrals, and cancellations. If you are interested in signing up for this race please read this section carefully prior to registering. All interested participants will be shown these policies during the registration process and must agree to adhere to them in order to be admitted to the event.
REFUNDS
Race registration fees (and the processing charge from RunSignup) are not refundable. These funds are used to pay for race premiums, permits, supplies, staffing, and other costs incurred before, during, and after the event is held. To be consistent and fair to everyone we cannot make exceptions to this policy.
DEFERRALS
We offer the option for registrants to defer their entry to the following year's event based on Charm City Run's General Deferral fee schedule:
Until May 3, 2025 (2 weeks prior to race day) - $33.80
May 4, 2025 - May 16, 2025 - $44.40
Please note that if your materials have been mailed to you, the deferral option is no longer available.
TRANSFERS
We offer the option for registrants to transfer their entry to another eligible participant up to May 16, 2025. After this deadline passes we are unable to allow transfers as race materials have been prepped for the event. Again, to be consistent and fair to everyone we cannot make exceptions to this policy. Registrants may transfer their entry to another registrant by going into their profile on runsignup.com and choosing "Manage Registration" next to the race.
CANCELLATION
2020 showed just how unpredictable our world can be, and the running industry was certainly no exception. We know that it's important to have as much information at your disposal when making a decision whether to sign up for a race or not, and we want you to know exactly what your options will be should the 2024 in-person race not be able to take place as originally planned. Our regular cancellation policy found here covers scenarios that could prompt the cancellation of an event including weather, local emergencies, public health emergencies, etc. If you have any questions about our cancellation policy please email us at events@charmcityrun.com PRIOR to registering.
DOWNGRADES & UPGRADES
If you would like to downgrade to a shorter race distance you can make that change through your RunSignup account. Log on, click “Manage Registration” next to the race, click “Transfer Event,” and select the relay. Please note: you will not receive a credit or refund for any difference in price paid.
If you would like to switch to a longer distance race, you can follow the same steps above. You will be charged any difference in registration fee from when you originally signed up to the current price.
