Hi Runners, Walkers and Friends,
We hope you and your loved ones are navigating the uncertainty surrounding the ever changing COVID-19 pandemic and staying healthy and well. We, like you all, are carefully monitoring the situation and helping how we can to support our greater community. First and foremost, the health and safety of our athletes, staff, volunteers and community are our primary concern. We're also optimistic and confident we will weather this storm and move through these trying times as quickly as possible - so we can get back to our normal daily lives.
We are in close communication with the Talbot County Department of Emergency Services and the Talbot County Department of Health. Both agencies are leading a coordinate effort to steer and manage all public health matters in our county. Additionally, the operation group is taking direction from an executive order issued by Maryland's governor Hogan.
The governor's executive order has called for the temporary closing of public schools from March 16th through March 27th, limited access to municipal buildings and other state facilities, and a temporary restriction on holding any large event of 250 people or more. The primary purpose of the executive order is to stop the spread of the coronavirus and keep crowd density to a minimum.
As of now all scheduled public events in the state of Maryland fall under the governor's executive order and are suspended until the state of emergency is lifted. While we have been placed in a holding pattern for now, and there is uncertainty regarding how things will unfold and develop, our race team is diligently making all necessary preparations and arrangements to hold the event.
We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to work through the COVID-19 situation. As we know more, our first priority will be to keep you informed.
Please stay healthy and safe!

We’re sure you’ve seen this, but we thought posting it here as a gentle reminder of what we call all do to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 would be helpful:
